Seamless Gutters Service Long Island, NY Formed On Site To Your House

A sectional gutter has a joint every ten feet, and every one of those joints is a future leak sitting over your fascia. Seamless gutters are rolled on site from a continuous coil, so a forty-foot run is one piece of aluminum with no seam along its length.

Bluemaster Roofing forms and installs seamless aluminum gutters across Nassau County, Suffolk County and Queens. We size them to the roof area above them rather than fitting five inch because that is what is on the truck, and the workmanship carries a 10-year warranty. Free estimates, written and itemized.

The Gutter Work We Handle Across Long Island

From a sagging section through to a full replacement with the roof, handled in-house by the same crew.

01

Gutter Inspection

We check the pitch with a level, look at the hangers, test whether the downspouts actually flow, and examine the fascia behind the gutter for rot. Photographs of every finding. Free, and you keep the file whether or not you hire us.

02

Seamless Gutter Installation

Aluminum rolled on site to the exact length of your run, hung to a working pitch, with hangers spaced for the load Long Island snow and ice actually puts on them. Downspouts sized and placed to move water away from the foundation.

03

Gutter Repair And Re-Pitching

Sagging sections refixed, pulled hangers replaced, loose seams at the corners and outlets resealed, and pitch corrected where a run has settled. Frequently a much smaller job than the one people call about.

04

Downspout And Drainage Work

Additional downspouts where a run is carrying more water than one outlet can take, extensions to move discharge away from the foundation, and underground tie-ins where the grade works against you.

05

Gutter Guards

Installed where they genuinely help and honestly assessed where they do not. Under heavy pine, fine needles pass most systems and then sit on top where nobody sees them.

06

Fascia And Soffit Repair

Rotted fascia board replaced before new gutters go up, because hanging new aluminum on soft wood means doing the job twice. Soffit repaired where water has been getting behind.

Diagnose It First

Why do gutters overflow when they are not blocked?

Most overflowing gutters are not clogged. They are undersized, short on downspouts, pitched wrong, or missing the metal that directs water into them in the first place. Cleaning a gutter that overflows because it cannot hold the volume will not change anything, which is why the problem comes back every storm.

Start with one question

Does it overflow in light rain too, or only when it is heavy?

Only in heavy rain

↓ Capacity problem

Even in light rain

↓ Detail problem

Capacity problems

It copes with normal rain and gives up in a storm

The gutter is undersized

A 5-inch gutter on a large or steep roof simply cannot carry the volume. More water arrives at the edge than the channel can move.

The tell

It runs full and spills over the front edge along the whole length, not at one point.

Not enough downspouts

The gutter itself is fine. The water cannot get out fast enough, so it backs up and finds the nearest edge.

The tell

It overflows furthest from the downspout, and the downspout itself is running full.

The roof pitch is steep

On a steep roof water arrives with speed. In heavy rain it can shoot straight over the gutter without ever dropping into it.

The tell

Water clears the gutter completely and lands away from the house. The gutter stays relatively dry.

Detail problems

It misbehaves whatever the weather is doing

Missing gutter apron

Roof detail

A strip of metal that carries water off the shingle edge and drops it into the gutter. Without it, water follows the underside of the roof edge and runs behind the gutter instead.

The tell

Staining or rot on the fascia behind the gutter, while the gutter itself looks clean and empty.

Wrong pitch

A gutter needs a slight fall towards the downspout. Level or falling the wrong way, water sits in it, and standing water is heavy enough to pull the hangers loose over time.

The tell

Water still sitting in the gutter a day after rain, or a section visibly sagging away from the fascia.

Genuinely blocked

The one everyone assumes first and often the least common. Leaves and shingle granules pack the channel or the downspout opening.

The tell

It overflows at one specific point, and plants are growing in the gutter.

If it is fine in light rain, cleaning will not fix it

This is the single most useful thing on this page. A gutter that handles a drizzle and fails in a downpour is not dirty. It is too small, or it has too few downspouts. Paying to clean it every autumn treats a symptom that was never the problem, and the same thing happens after the next real storm.

The Honest Version

Are gutter guards worth it?

Some are, on some houses. No guard is maintenance free, none of them fix ice dams, and on an undersized gutter a guard makes overflowing worse rather than better. What matters is which type, on which roof, and whether the gutter underneath was sized correctly in the first place.

Micro Mesh

Fine stainless screen over the opening

Good at

Will not do

Verdict

The one we fit most. Best all-round performance under oak and maple, which covers most of Long Island.

Reverse Curve

Water wraps around a nose, debris falls off

Good at

Will not do

Verdict

Works, costs the most, and the overshoot problem gets worse on a steep roof.

Brush Insert

A long bristle brush dropped into the channel

Good at

Will not do

Verdict

Moves the problem rather than solving it. You still go up the ladder, and now you pull the brush out first.

Foam Insert

A foam wedge that fills the channel

Good at

Will not do

Verdict

We do not fit these. If you have them, they are probably the reason things are growing in your gutters.

Three things nobody selling guards will tell you

1

No guard is maintenance free

They reduce how often you clean, they do not remove it. Anyone promising you will never go up a ladder again is selling, not advising.

2

Guards do not fix ice dams

Ice dams come from a warm attic melting snow that refreezes at the cold eave. A guard just gives the ice something extra to grip.

3

On an undersized gutter they make it worse

Any guard reduces the effective opening. Fit one to a gutter that already overflows in heavy rain and it will overflow sooner.

If your problem is ice, the fix is above the gutter

Ice at the eave every winter is not a gutter fault. It is warm air escaping into the attic, melting snow on the roof, and that meltwater refreezing when it reaches the cold overhang. The gutter is where you see it, not where it starts.

Fixing that means intake and exhaust ventilation and proper ice and water shield coverage at the eaves. If someone is selling you gutter guards to solve an ice problem, they are selling you the wrong thing.

Our Process

How A Gutter Job Runs

01

Inspection And Measurement

We check the pitch, the hangers and the downspout flow, look at the fascia behind the gutter, and measure every run. Then we work out the roof area feeding each one, because that decides the size and the downspout count rather than guesswork.

02

Written Estimate

Linear feet, profile and gauge, hanger spacing, downspout count and placement, plus any fascia repair priced in advance. Financing available up to 100% of project cost, subject to credit approval.

03

Forming And Installation

Aluminum rolled on site to the exact length of each run, fascia repaired where needed, then gutters hung to a working pitch on hidden hangers and downspouts fitted and secured.

04

Water Test, Walkthrough And Warranty

We run water through every run before we leave to confirm it drains where it should. Debris cleared, final walk with you, and the 10-year workmanship warranty handed over in writing.

Pricing

What Determines The Cost Of Seamless Gutters

Linear footage sets the base. What moves it is the profile and gauge, how many downspouts the roof actually needs, how high and how accessible the runs are, and whether the fascia behind the old gutters is sound.

Linear feet and profile.

Six inch costs more per foot than five inch and carries considerably more water. On most Long Island houses five inch is adequate, and we will say so rather than upselling by default.

Downspout count and placement.

Each downspout is material plus labor, and more of them is frequently the correct answer on a long run. Placement also matters for where the water ends up.

Height and access.

Second and third story runs, steep roofs, decks below, overhead wires and mature plantings all add time.

Corners and complexity

Inside and outside corners are formed and sealed individually. A house with eight corners takes considerably longer than a straightforward ranch with the same linear footage.

Why Choose Us

What You Get On A Gutter Job

Gutters are a small job where a lot gets skipped, because nobody climbs up afterward to check.

We size the gutter to the roof, not to the truck

How much roof feeds each run decides the profile and the downspout count. A five inch gutter with one outlet on a forty-foot run off a steep roof will overflow no matter how well it was formed. The same certified team handles inspection, tear-off, and install, so no job gets passed between subcontractors.

Fascia gets fixed before aluminum goes up

Hanging new gutters on soft wood means doing the job again in three years. We check behind the old gutter and price the repair in advance.

Every run is water-tested before we leave

We put water through it and watch where it goes. It takes ten minutes and it is the difference between a gutter that works and one that looked fine on installation day.

10-year workmanship warranty, in writing

Covering seams, pitch, hangers and fastening. If a run sags or a corner leaks inside that window, we come back.

Who We Serve

Which Long Island Homes We Do Gutter Work On

Gutters matter more on some houses than others, and a great deal depends on what is around and above them.

Gap one · roof edge to gutter

The apron and the drip edge

Metal that carries water off the last shingle and drops it into the channel. A gutter company will not fit it, because it tucks under the roofing. A roofer will sometimes skip it, because there is no gutter on the house the day they finish.

What it costs you

Water tracks down the back of the gutter for years. The gutter looks fine. The board behind it does not.

Gap two · gutter to wall

Fascia and soffit condition

Both sit behind the gutter and above the siding. Neither specialist prices them, because neither is standing there when the gutter comes down. The siding crew sees the outside of the soffit and nothing else.

What it costs you

Rot gets covered rather than cut out, and new hangers go into wood that cannot hold them.

Both gaps · when it leaks

Nobody's warranty reaches it

Each warranty covers that company’s own scope. A fault that begins in an unclaimed strip is inside nobody’s coverage, so three warranties can be live at once and none of them apply.

What it costs you

Three site visits, three opinions, and a repair you pay for yourself.

There is a right order, and it only works in one direction

Even with the gaps covered, sequence matters. Some of these steps can only be done while the one before it is still open, which is why doing the three jobs in separate years costs more than the work itself.

01

Gutters down

Before anything else. The fascia becomes visible for the first time.

02

Fascia repaired

Cut out and replaced now, while there is clear access to the board.

03

Apron fitted

Slides under the first shingle course. Only possible with the roof edge lifted.

04

Roof installed

Shingles go down over the apron, sealing the edge detail permanently.

05

Gutters hung

Correct spacing into sound fascia, pitched to the downspout run.

06

Siding closed up

Top course and trim finish against a soffit line that is already square.
Step three is the one that cannot be recovered. Once a new roof is down, fitting an apron means lifting the bottom course of a roof you just paid for. Every gutter company on Long Island will tell you the same thing, and every one of them will also tell you it is not their job.

FAQ's

Gutter Questions Long Island Homeowners Ask

Sizing, guards, ice and timing with the roof. These five come up on nearly every gutter estimate.

Are gutter guards worth it on Long Island?

It depends entirely on what is above the house. Under mature oak, guards reduce cleaning frequency meaningfully. Under pine they help far less, because fine needles pass most systems and then sit on top of the guard where nobody thinks to look. Guards reduce maintenance, they do not eliminate it, and any contractor promising you will never clean gutters again is overselling. We will tell you honestly whether yours is a house where they pay off.

Five inch K-style handles most Long Island houses. Six inch is worth the difference on steep roofs, on long runs, and where a large roof area feeds into one gutter. The clearest sign you need it is gutters that overflow in heavy rain even when they are clean, which means either the gutter is undersized or there are not enough downspouts on the run.

No, and it is worth knowing before you spend money on it. Ice dams form because warm air escaping into the attic melts snow on the roof, and that meltwater refreezes at the cold eave. Gutters collect the ice rather than cause it. New gutters will not change it. The lasting fix is attic insulation and soffit intake ventilation, which is a different trade than ours.

Yes. Aluminum is formed on site and the work does not depend on temperature the way shingle sealant does. Lead times are frequently shorter in winter than they are in autumn, when everyone calls at once after the leaves come down. Ice on the roof and the ladders is the limiting factor rather than the cold itself.

If they are more than about fifteen years old, yes, and the saving is real rather than a sales line. The gutters come off during the tear-off anyway, the staging is already up, and the drip edge and the back of the gutter get detailed properly as one system rather than one crew working around another’s finished work. Doing them a year apart means paying for access twice.
